Women's Ministry

"And so train the young women to love their husbands and children, to be self-controlled, pure, working at home, kind, and submissive to their own husbands, that the word of God may not be reviled."

-Titus 2:4-5

About

God uses women of faith to live out His Word.

The first people the resurrected Lord appeared to were women—women were also the first to share the good news of the resurrection. Timothy was raised in the Word by his mother and grandmother, and throughout Scripture, God uses women of faith to live out His Word.

Women’s ministry at its best spurs women on to an authentic pursuit of Christ by faithfully abiding in His Word and prayer. God calls women to adorn themselves—not with outward beauty, but with, “what is proper for women who profess godliness—with good works” (1 Tim. 2:10).

Women’s ministry at Graham Emmanuel Baptist Church equips women to be hearers and doers of the Word. It puts women in places where they can be biblically trained, spiritually uplifted, and strengthened in the community of believers.

Women's Events

Thursdays, 9:30-11am (Chapel)

Women's Bible Study

Women’s Bible study should be just as deep as men’s Bible studies. Because of that, the women of the church gather every week to receive rich teaching from Scripture every Thursday morning, often with a workbook that keeps them in the Word throughout the week. Time is also set aside for prayer and fellowship, as well as discussion questions based on the day’s lesson. The current lesson series focuses on the Attributes of God, taught via video by Dr. Steve Lawson.

Snacks and drinks are available, as are nursery and elementary-aged childcare. Open to all adult women who attend the church.

God's Gals Gathering

God designed women for community, and He intends His church to be a community of believers. God’s Gals Gathering encourages women—especially new women of the church looking to get connected—to gather and get to know one another. In doing so, relationships occur which bear fruit for years to come as women meet informally to pray for and exhort each other.

God’s Gals Gatherings are for adult women only, as they provide a chance for moms and wives to get a night out and focus on adult relationships. “G3” events typically consist of crafts, games (bunco), mixers, and a message from a spiritually mature woman of the church. Cost is totally free.

Every Fall

Women's Fall Retreat

The women's Fall retreat is an awesome time that the ladies of the church have every Fall to take a weekend in God's beautiful creation and learn and grow in His Word.

Lakeside Bible Camp on Whidbey Island is only accessed by ferry, and has comfortable lodging and amenities. The Retreat begins on Friday evening and concludes on Sunday morning. Cost is very affordable.

Annually

Ladies Tea

The Ladies Tea is an annual event where all the women and girls of the church gather together for a unified time as women to connect, strengthen friendships, and receive an apt biblical reminder from the Word from one of the women of the church. Designed as an outreach event also, the Women’s Tea also welcomes unbelievers and provides a great chance to hear the Gospel.
