Jesus tells us the reason for Christmas is to “seek and to save that which was lost” (Luke 19:10). In Luke 5:30-32, Jesus makes it clear that some refuse to be saved because they will not admit that they are “lost” in their sin.
Christmas is a focus on the coming of The Savior. We will miss Christmas if we focus on the baby or the manger or the wise man. Every person desperately needs rescue from their sins. That is something only Jesus Christ can give.
"She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins.” - Matthew 1:21
Jesus came on a rescue mission and He wants to make sure that you are part of the people He came to save.
